Still sick

So, here's another list - Top 5 Worst Christmas Songs: http://blogcritics.org/archives/2005/12/06/194520.php

It's a funny list, though I don't agree with all of them and think there are some that are much worse.  For example, I was at a Christmas improv show where they play snippets of poppy Christmas songs in between the scenes and Paul McCartney's Wonderful Christmas Time came on and half the audience shrieked in horror. Husband can't stand it, either. I'm not a big fan, although I don't loathe it.

I have to confess, I really like Santa Baby.  Holly Cole does a good version that doesn't make you feel as creepy as Madonna's does, although I don't mind hers (which is unfortunate, as I have no use for Madonna anymore). I have a soft spot for My Two Front Teeth because my Grandma used to sing it, but it is a pretty crappy song. I don't see what the problem is with Here Comes Santa Claus. But I definitely agree that there's something not right about I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus - that's just too confusing for a kid.

What are your most-loathed Christmas songs? I'm sure you've heard enough of them by now to be ready to vent. :-)
