Happy Post-Christmas!

posted Sunday, 28 December 2003

Hope everyone who celebrates it had a great Christmas! And that everyone, I hope, got at least some holiday time. And thanks to everyone for all of the kind holiday greetings!

We had a nice, quiet Married Christmas (Husband called it that, since it's our first one). We gave my Dad a tiny remote-controlled car, so the menfolk had great fun assembling that. It was for ages 8 and up and we figure the 8 year-old would've done it faster. But, to be fair, when they got it done my Mom and I were very interested to play with it, too.

I hosted my very first Christmas dinner (thankfully only 2 guests, the folks) and made fondue and pumpkin pie. Both very easy things, but cooking stresses me out, so I was pretty pleased with myself. Then we watched one of my brand-new Mystery Science Theatre DVD's and laughed our heads off. So, a big pot o' melted cheese, pie, laughter, and family. Not a bad way to spend the holiday at all, say I.

So, how was your Christmas? :)
