Here I am, back at the library. Feels a bit weird. My in-box and e-mail weren't as overflowing as I'd expected them to be. Lots of e-mail, but not impossible to get through. If it were August, my mailbox would be filled to the brim with entries for the teen writing contest, but since it's early yet, there were only a few.
Summer Reading Club has started - I gave my first sign-up spiel to a little girl this morning. The first of several hundred, probably. But Alissa's on the desk this morning, thankfully. Although I'm sure when I get on this afternoon, there will be a ton of after school kids signing up. Which is, of course, what I want them to do. It's just a bit tiring to keep repeating the same thing over and over again.
So, was I the only blogbrarian at the BCLA/CLA conference? Nobody else was there at all?
Guess I'd better fill in my expense claim form. :) We're allowed to spend $35 for dinner, but sadly I never managed it. I tried, but given my new dietary restrictions and the fact that I was usually eating alone, I couldn't do it. I did manage to easily spend $10 on breakfast every morning, though. A bowl of oatmeal aloneĀ at my beloved Empress Hotel is $6. :)
